  19. A Great CD-ROM for BBS or Personal Use!

The “BBS IN A BOX” CD-ROM is designed to allow Macintosh Bulletin Board Systems (BBS) running First Class, Hermes, Mansion, MUBBS, Nova Link, Second Sight, and Telefinder BBS software to link their system to the CD-ROM for an instant 1.4 GIGABYTE public domain and shareware library. BBS users may then read all of the descriptions from the CD-ROM directories and decide which files they desire to download.

This same library may be used by individuals who want the most current collection of Macintosh  shareware and public domain software available at their finger tips. Descriptions of these files are provided in a number of formats including On Location, text format, Fileaker Pro, "Show Info" and our HyperCard index “PD Pig Out!”

Volume VII supports On Location search engines. In addition, text file listings, a FileMaker Pro database and other database tools are provided in various formats. “BBS IN A BOX” is the ONLY CD-ROM that provides BBS descriptions on over 640 megs of compressed Macintosh BBS software. Using "Show Info" you can display the description easily under System 7 as well.
